Tour Description
Join us on the huge day out from Launceston. Tick off some of those fantastic Tasmanian Highlights in one day with a Tassie Devil feeding, walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout and visit historic Ross & Kiki's Kitchen.
We travel from Launceston heading east to the seaside township of Bicheno and Natureworld Wildlife Park. Join the expert staff here as they introduce you to the Tasmanian Devils and watch the antics of a feeding. Wander the peaceful grounds visit the local snake enclosure, wombats friendly wallabies and so much more!
Continuing onto Freycinet National Park, your guide will offer you a short stop to collect some fresh oysters from the Freycinet Marine Farm, should you wish to sample some fresh seafood from the pristine waters.
We begin the walk to the Wineglass Bay lookout. One of the most celebrated beach views in the world! From here you have the option to continue down to the beach (3 hour return walk). Feel the sand between your toes, take a swim or just enjoy the amazing scenic location. Alternatively, you can return from the lookout and our tour guide will take you to visit the other highlights of Freycinet. Visit Cape Tourville - Great Short Walk - an easy and stunning cliff top walk around the lighthouse. Visit Honeymoon Bay - yet another breathtaking location within the Park.
From Freycinet we begin our return to journey to Launceston heading inland to visit another Tassie Treasure - Ross Historic Village & Kiki's Kitchen. Wander the picturesque streetscape and discover the local convict history and the convict build bridge. Visit Ross Bakery and home of Kiki's Kitchen. Grab a snack and try a local scallop pie before finishing our day back to your Launceston CBD accommodation around 6.30pm - 7.00pm.
